An introduction to fiber arts for children ages 5 & up.
Course Description: This unique class allows “learning coach” and student to explore the many different types of fiber found in the world around them. They will learn of its importance and various uses while keeping a self-made journal. Students will be able to explain and complete the process of taking fiber from “lamb to loom,” and will also create a variety of handmade projects along the way. Handouts and vocabulary focus will complement the class according to age.
Supply List: students will need to supply- binder, clear plastic sleeves, tape, pencils/pens, snack
Class Dates: Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 (snack break at 10:30) The first class will begin with a trip to my farm to meet the sheep and goats and will most likely go over time.

Cost: 1-5 students $20 per student = $160 for 8 classes 6 students $19 per student = $152 7 students $18 per student = $144 10 students $15 per student = $120 *Please note that we have calculated this cost scale contingent upon the time spent and also energy to support the building.
